Tomorrow I’m taking down the lights. So if you want to come and see them, tonight is the last night. It will be different with the lights down. For over a month I have been watching flashing lights on my house and listening to the music. I did record a few more videos of the songs I missed. I’ll post them as soon as they get uploaded to youtube. Thanks to everyone who has watched the videos and came by to watch.
I was gone most of the night and with it being so busy tomorrow I thought I should wish everyone a Merry Christmas. The show will still continue for the next week if you haven’t got to see it yet or if you want to come back by. I was happy to see people enjoying it tonight. The weather has been so bad lately it’s hard for anyone to get out. If you’re not from Tolono and come down, there are lots of great lights in town. Washington St., which isn’t far from my house, has two houses which are worth a look at. Lots of lights. I’m thinking I need to add another 20,000 lights to my display next year to keep up. I’m planning on making a video of my setup and what it takes to run my show. I know some people are curious to see how it works.
Thanks for visiting.
Merry Christmas!!
Jeremy
The show will start earlier so everyone can come out and see it. I’m starting it at 5:15 tonight and it will run until 10:30. Tuesday and Wednesday will be at least that time if not longer. I’ll let everyone know after tonight’s show.
Happy Holidays!!
Here is another video of the lights to music. It’s the Wizards of Winter which is one of the most popular songs used for syncing lights to music.
I spent 45 minutes outside getting things back up and running. The sign is up and the lights are sorta out of the gutter. So come on down. It is only -26 degrees outside with the wind chill. I had a water bottle in my pocket when I was outside. When I came in and pulled it out of my pocket it was frozen. Don’t worry I had a hat on when I was out there.
I’m just guilting everyone into coming down. I’ll post another video after I drink some hot chocolate.
With the extreme cold and high winds the lights are taking a beating. The sign snapped off about 8 inches off the ground. Most of the gutter lights have flipped into the gutter. I’m planning on going out about 5 to fix as much as possible. We will still run the show but the viewing migh not be ideal tonight. I’m just hoping there aren’t too many bulbs that are broken. I’ll post again when I get out and find out exactly what is damaged.
Also we are planning on extending the times from now until Christmas. Those extended times won’t start tonight. I will let you know what the new times will be.
Thanks for visiting.
I’m a little late with posting this. Last Thursday we were in The County Star. I thought the article was really nice. The good part about that is the traffic has picked up. This past weekend there were times when 6 or more cars were out there. It makes it all worth it when I can look out and see people enjoying it.
I would also like to thank everyone that has stopped by. I was very surprised that people were still coming with the ice covered roads lately. Not as many but I’m not sure I would have ventured out on those roads to look at lights.
I have some more videos coming soon. If you can’t make it down please share the website with family and friends.
Video of Joy to the World by Denver & The Mile High Orchestra.
Video of Jingle Bells by Denver & The Mile High Orchestra.
Video of Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24 by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. There will be more coming soon.
